Many people may misunderstand the use of the word DOPE.
We used to say it when we were younger when we saw something nice, super cool or something like that. We came up hard, didn’t have much and always had do deal with negativity. So just like older folks in our lives, we found ways to channel the negativity into positivity. This was especially with words. So dope was always something that stood for something bad, but we made it a positive slang term.
The biggest example of this is the infamous “N Word” that people feel awkward talking about between races. Just like Michael Jackson was “Bad” and James Brown was “Funky”- My style was destined to be DOPE. As a matter of fact, I evolved far past “Swagg” and ended up being SUPASOPEFRESH. That’s fresher than the freshest and when other people see the style, they know they “Can’t Git NO Fresher”. That quote is from me (BBoy Bolo/HBO Crew/ATL/USA). Now I want everyone else to understand and get the SUPADOPEFRESH feeling too. Now marinate on that for a minute!

In a world of crooked imitators, we red line designers, we don’t get no straighter~Alu Mu
What can I say about SupaDopeFresh that hasn’t already been said?
In a word:”Authentic” meaning real. Real to the vibe of the true B-boys and girls who are authentic to their environment. Those who’s heart beats are in sync with the sounds of hip hop soul music. I too am a clothing label CEO and lead designer so it inspires me to see that I’m not alone out here creating that real. Stay tuned in to that SupaDopeFresh and who knows? You just might get a taste of what I call a “tsunami of flyness” with a colab line.
